Broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprout, and cauliflower

Broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprout, and cauliflower

All four of these vegetables are the same species, which includes kale, cabbage, kohlrabi and several others, all called “cabbages”. Each vegetable has its own unique benefits, so we’ve included them for a robust selection of nutrients. Cabbage is low in calories, but high in vitamin C and vitamin K, as well as containing a moderate amount of B vitamins, and manganese. It can help repair skin damage due to containing glucoraphanin, which the body can also use to fight cancer. The beta carotene found in cabbage helps bolster the immune system.
Cabbage is surprisingly higher in vitamin C than oranges, usually considered the best natural source. Vitamin C in addition to reducing scurvy is an antioxidant, which helps you age naturally. Cabbage is also rich in Sulphur, which helps fight infections and ulcers.
